A boutique with a site as considered as the work.
Lux Lounge is a luxury hair boutique in Little Italy, San Diego. Blueprint built them a hand-coded editorial site that loads in under a second and sends bookings straight to the chair.
Visit luxloungesd.comA high-end salon lives or dies on first impression. The room is quiet, the work is precise, the clientele expects a certain level. A website has to carry that same feeling before anyone walks in the door.
The bar was clear. The site had to look expensive, load fast, and turn a curious visitor into a booked appointment without friction. Anything that felt like a template would undercut the whole brand.
We started with restraint. Luxury reads as space, not clutter, so the layout leads with white space and lets the work breathe.
Typography does the heavy lifting. We set the site in Cormorant, a serif with real editorial weight, so the pages feel closer to a fashion book than a service menu. Every decision ran through one question: does this make the boutique feel more expensive, or less? If the answer was less, it got cut.
A hand-coded site on React and Next.js, built mobile-first, since most of the boutique’s visitors arrive on their phones.
Booking is wired straight to the chair. A visitor can go from the homepage to a confirmed appointment without leaving the site. GA4 and the Google Business Profile are live from day one, and the code belongs to Lux Lounge.
